The other ALT at the school where I work is contacted by them. From what I’ve observed, they don’t always seem to be on top of paperwork. In general they seem to be laid back and hands off. There was an issue where we noticed the nenkyu policy wasn’t actually in line with labor law, but then it was pointed out to them and they amended the contract and retroactively gave the appropriate number of vacation days. So maybe check your contract details, but otherwise you’re probably good.
My buddy was contracted out by them to a high school and he’s happy. Although I don’t think it really has much to do with Sagan Speak but more so his school and coworkers being good.
OP. Have they offered you a job?
I interviewed with Sagan Speak, but did not get a position with them. Personally, I was unimpressed by their conduct. The interview process required a ton of materials, including a video self-introduction, demo lesson + lesson plan, and a more standardized application form. The actual interview was 2+ hours long and felt more like a psychoanalytic session than a job interview. On top of all that, they asked me to write a 500-word summary of the interview along with my teaching preferences. Well, lo and behold, they totally ghosted me after I submitted that summary. Needless to say, I was quite pissed off by their unresponsiveness, especially since I put so much work into the application process. I hope that working for them is better than interviewing for them, but they came across as arrogant and unprofessional from my standpoint.
