I’m a huge fan of the original Star Trek and all the videos are on Niconico, but I can’t find subtitles anywhere. Does anyone have any idea where I can get some legally? Amazon or Netflix might have it but I don’t have a Japanese phone number and I live in America. Thank you very much!

Yeah, Japanese Netflix has them. Maybe use a VPN.
But keep in mind that the subs are almost certainly not going to match the spoken words as the subs and dubs for foreign shows are generally translated separately.
I can get Japanese subtitles for Netflix star trek easily, altho you might need to set your language to japanese? sometimes Netflix is tricky w hiding language options. (I also live in Australia but I’d be surprised if there were jp subtitles here and not the US)
First of all, change the Netflix language to Japanese and many shows will have Japanese dubs with subtitles. It looks like only DS9 is on Netflix and doesn’t have a Japanese dub on the service. Even more shows will have a Japanese dub if you manage to get into the Japanese version of the service through a VPN, but Netflix has been cracking down on that lately.
