Sushi Kai in Fort Lee, NJ (I know not NYC 🙁 but still close by) is a hidden gem! The flash fried bronzino is my favorite appetizer I’ve ever had in omakase and was an amazing textural experience, the exterior was crunchy but the interior melts in your mouth with the truffle gravy and grated daikon adding a nice refreshing, savoriness. Otoro as always is a delicious piece to eat :’). An interesting flavor combination was the king salmon and tomato, I’ve seen it a few times in omakase but it’s really hard to execute because tomatoes have a strong acidity and taste. Unfortunately this time I don’t think tomatoes complimented the king salmon well :(. Nonetheless everything else was super tasty at $155 per person before tax and tip! I’ll be back with more omakase next week and to see omakase from previous weeks check out my instagram [edo.makase.](https://instagram.com/edo.makase?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==)
