I’m currently on a specialist visa and will need to leave my job for number of personal reasons. I will be finding another job within three months.
For people who’ve had this experience before, what are some of the things that you must be cautious of? I do want to apply for PR someday so:
1) making sure I duly pay my national health insurance & pension
2) notify immigration about my resignation
Are obviously on the list.
Anything else?

That’s about it. Also, keep paying your residence tax.
That’s it. For #1 you don’t necessarily have to pay pension. Since you’ll be out of work you could apply for an exemption instead. Definitely need to let the pension office know though, don’t just not pay. Better to pay it, but if you think that might be difficult for financial reasons at least there’s another option.
