Need some help. Grew up in Japan and used to always get these hot dog snacks from the bakery at a mall in Shimoda every other week. Not having any luck finding out what exactly it is or pictures except for this one and even then it’s just similar. Anyone got a name so I can kill this craving I’ve had for 2 decades until I can finally visit again?

You might have more luck finding a Chinese hot dog bun recipe and adding cheese (if that is what I see in the photo, I’m not totally sure) to it.

Are you in the US? In some states, there are Korean bakeries like 85° or Paris Baguette that sells sausage bread similar to the picture that you posted.
