Need help to find medication

I’m living in Japan at the moment but are from Denmark, and I suffer from migraine. I used to have medication like Treo to help deal with it but I have run out, and the medication they offer for migraine does nothing for the bad ones.
Anyone who know if I can buy something with Acetylsalicylic acid in it, and the brands name? I am in desperate need for it.

  1. Ibuprofen doesn’t do the trick? It is available over the counter. Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) usually doesn’t work well with migraine (at least for me) nor paracetamol. Ibuprofen it is

  2. Hej- fellow Dane here. Can you get someone to send you a care package with some Treo for you from Denmark? That’s what I usually do. Otherwise maybe go to the pharmacy here and try to get some aspirin and take that with a cup of coffee- should be the same ingredients.

  3. I prefer taking Eve quick DX since it works really fast.

But a neurologist I saw prescribed me some Eletriptan (エレトリプタン) to prevent migraines. Basically take it when you feel one coming and it worked rather well.

  4. I see the active ingredients in TREO are aspirin and caffeine. In that case, you could try EXCEDRIN. It has the same ingredients plus paracetamol (acetaminophen). It’s the only thing that works for me when I have a migraine. It’s available at most drugstores in japan. Japanese name: エキセドリンA錠, although the packaging is in English.

  5. I take Maxalt from the US which is rizatriptan that works by constricting blood vessels. It works quickly and is effective for me. If you need caffeine they sell just plain 200 mg caffeine tablets on Amazon.

  6. If it is real migraines and not just bad headache, get Zomig. That is real migraine medication. I suffer from migraine (to the extend I will vomit from pain if I have no medicine) and Zomig has been more effective than any other medication I had in DK including Imigran.

  7. I didn’t see anyone else mentioning it so just in case: I’ve had migraines for years (with nausea and sometimes aura) and always take Loxonin Premium S (it works faster). I also got prescription medicine from the hospital but for some reason Loxonin works extremely well for me and you can get it a the local drugstore but only if a pharmacist is working there (regular store staff are not allowed to sell it)
Good luck I know how bad migraines can get 🙁
