Hi, I would like to seek advice for a 6 day trip for a couple travelling in July. This is our 2nd time in Japan, but 1st time in Tokyo, covered Osaka and Kyoto in 2019.
Little background: Husband is a huge anime/gundam fan and of anything japanese (museums/temples and culture). Wife is fan of japanese food only and decided to give in to go to Japan if her TDL and TDS dreams are fulfilled (hahaha!). Tendon recommendations are highly welcome! Any other theme parks around the areas below to fill up time can be suggested too pleae.
Itinerary is not very firmed up and we need advice especially with regards to staying at Yokohama or Shinjuku/Shibuya for the 1st leg in Tokyo.
We have not decided if we want to stay at Yokohama for 1 night or 2 nights in Shinjuku/Shibuya instead, would be staying the rest of the trip at Tokyo Bay area.
Day 1: 7 Jul/Fri – Yokohama/Shinjuku/Shibuya
– Arrive at Narita at 0700
– Train to Yokohama or Shinjuku (deciding between these 2 places to stay)
– Gundam Factory Yokohama
– Stay at Yokohama for 1 night or do a day trip
– Explore Shinjuku/ Shibuya if staying at Shinjuku overnight
– Check out any car meets – any way to get to Daikoku PA without a car?
Day 2: 8 Jul/Sat – Tsukiji Market/Shinjuku/Shibuya
– Tsukiji Market (Would it be better to go on Saturday or Wednesday?)
– Check out of Yokohama if staying at Yokohama for 1 night and check in to hotel at Tokyo Bay
– Explore Shinjuku/ Shibuya mainly for shopping, nightlife/entertainment, see or stay at the Kabukicho area? Opinions on this please?
– Is there a way to book love hotels in advance for overnight stays?
Day 3: 9 Jul/Sun – Odaiba/ Asakusa
– Check out of Shinjuku/ Shibuya hotel
– Check in to hotel at Tokyo Bay area
– Odaiba to Asakusa cruise or vice versa
Day 4: 10 Jul/ Mon
– Tokyo Disneyland
Day 5: 11 Jul/ Tue
– Tokyo Disneysea
Day 6: 12 Jul/Wed
– Tsukiji Market
– Check out of Tokyo Bay hotel
– Be at Narita Airport by 3pm
Appreciate all the help in advance! 🙏

My family will just be doing a day trip to Yokohama. We plan to do Cup Noodles museum, Cosmo World, Chinatown and Gundam Factory.
For food, if you have the budget and appetite try a Yakiniku place. It should be a lot cheaper than any place outside Japan.
