I‘m a big lover of chocolate and wondering where I can get some good chocolate-based breads and sweets.
Something like a Taiyaki filled with chocolate, or a bread in a konbini with chocolate filling instead of red bean paste or custard/cream. So far I haven‘t found such things in the places I‘ve checked.
Any recommendations from fellow chocolate lovers?

Try a チョココロネ from a bakery.
There are chocolate filled breads at every single conbini and bakery I’ve been to.
expensive bakeries make sometimes choco croissant. I just buy foreign sweets. But struggle with no buns with jam/cottage cheese…
also gyomu super has choco croissants in big packs. But haven’t seen them about 6 months( Last month I got lucky to get few packs of coconut brownies there.
Pain au chocolat (パン・オ・ショコラ) is available in almost every conbini or supermarket.
For a chocolate filled taiyaki, you’re probably best going to a taiyaki shop, they’ll sometimes have them along with other seasonal flavors.
I have these at my local super market (Seiyu), shouldn’t be too hard to find and they are absolutely divine. Nama-choco Roll Cake.

I always recommend the Sukiya chocolate mousse.
Creamy and delicious. And very cheap.
Heck, I recommend all Sukiya sweets, they are surprisingly very good.
are you in tokyo?lots of taiyaki stores also have chocolate now, and all of the conbinis should have choco bread in a random shape or form…
chococro (st marcs cafe is also everywhere..)
