Recommendations for good english speaking dermatologist in South Western tokyo (Setagaya

Hi.

So recently as the weather has started to warm up I have had a chronic bout of acne that usual remedies haven’t been able to fix (I have tried hard and long myself and my friend’s recommendations too)

Hence I would like to visit a skin dermatologist who can speak english hopefully (my japanese isn’t good enough i feel to answer questions in doctor-patient scenario).

As long as the cost is not too high a few man is okay for me. I need a good consult.

So anything in Setagaya (preferably close to tama river) would be ideal but if it’s good enough place i can travel a bit.

Which place would you recommend ?

  1. You may also want to try asking in /r/Tokyo.

  2. In Shimokitazawa, which is probably somewhat close to where you are, there’s [Hira Dermatology Clinic](https://hira-clinic.com/) which is quite great. You need to reserve on the day, though, using their website since it’s very busy. The dermatologist is amazing, though. She speaks perfect English and they take national health insurance, too.

  3. Not in your area, but Dr. Nakano just left St. Lukes and started his own clinic in Ginza. The homepage is [tsc.clinic](https://tsc.clinic/) and the clinic opens June 1. There’s no English on the HP, but he is fluent.
