Will employers in Japan accept US nationally accredited degrees, like from PIMA Medical Institute (for-profit medical career college) ? Or do they only accept regionally accredited University degrees?

This question about [nationally vs regionally accredited](https://www.reddit.com/r/movingtojapan/search?q=+nationally+accredited+&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on) gets asked here a lot.

**Regional accreditation** is basically accepted by Japanese Immigration.

National accreditation is not accepted everywhere, so you will likely be rejected.

But hey, don’t take our word for it—Call your Japanese embassy and ask.

**Also**, your non-university degree must specifically say “Bachelor’s” on it.
