As the title says, I was invited to the premiere of Sailor Moon Cosmos in Tokyo and have no idea what to wear.
The email I received did not mention any dress code, but I’ve been to premieres in New York City and some can be quite an affair/black tie event. I was considering heels to play up some Sailor Moon merch (a t-shirt and jeans/skirt) or a cocktail dress if it’s meant to be more fancy.
One of my Japanese friends suggested cosplay, but I don’t want to be too over the top if it’s meant to be low key. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Additional information. I was invited as part of a TikTok Influencer campaign, so I’ll be making come content surrounding the premiere and my initial impressions of it. The email also mentioned that there would be media coverage, and some voice actors will also be attending.
