Okay, so I encounter the simple sentence of「(X)でわろた」
The auto-translation was “I’m sorry for X”
I was trying to understand it more and found that わろた can be internet slang for LOL, so why does it seem to turn to “I’m sorry” with the で particle? Or I’m I totally misunderstanding?

Context here would be very helpful.
Are you using machine translation? Those tend to behave in wacky ways when it comes to japanese. I’ve only seen that word as an internet slang, and it seems appropriate in your example.

Auto translation is just wrong
In Kansai verbs ending in あう become お（う）in past and て forms, and online slang has spread it around. でわろた means ‘I loled at’
Auto translation is not equipped to deal with dialects and Internet slang
Machine translation is notoriously bad at translating non-standard language like slang and dialects. The translation software basically had no idea what to do with わろた so just straight up bullshitted an answer.
わろた is 笑った in Kansai dialect, which has caught on as slang with people outside of Kansai.
わろた or also written ワロタ as net slang is just Kansaiben for 笑った, shortened from 笑(わろ)うた.
It’s similar to で草. The で here is the te form of だ.
