I keep getting the following error on the immigration website registration/log in page:

I\`ve downloaded all drivers, software and plug ins. Does anybody please have a solution to this? It\`s doing my head in. Thanks.

Those MyNumber cards can be a bit of a pain to scan unless you have the knack for it.
If you’re scanning it with your iPhone, you need to put the camera part on the middle of the card, so you can see the top of the card a little bit above your phone.
If you’re scanning it with a card reader attached to a computer you need to have the back side face up so the chip on the back lines up with the chip on the card reader.
It’s not so intuitive how to scan it… just keep trying in different positions.
I feel like being part of their online revolution is asking for trouble. Wait for another 25 years so they can iron out the problems on the Guinea pigs. I imagine its just a shitty front end and on the back end everything is as decentralised and in paper stuffed in cabinets with processes sent to different people in different departments all over still lol. I see nothing but complaints and issues with this since it was rolled out.
Once they get their entire network more digitalised i think it’ll be a breeze. Its likely the entire online procedure is printed out atm and relevant pieces given to relevant parties lol
