Anyone have any suggestions for a good set of flash cards for both Hiragana and Katakana?

Was looking into getting a good set, however a quick google search gives me way too many options and they all range between 15 and 70 dollars. If you guys have a set that helped with learning and want to suggest it I’d greatly appreciate it thanks!

  1. They’re just kana, there’s not that much going on there. Just get some index cards and make your own. That’s what I did when I started learning.

  2. Use Anki. IIRC there’s a deck you can download in this subreddit’s wiki.

This should have everything you’ll need – even has audio.

You should start getting into a textbook or some kind of reading practice while you practice your Kana flash cards. It’ll stick much faster.

  4. I actually recommend you make them yourself. That is what I did with Kanji and I feel it stuck in my mind better.

  5. You should not spend any money. Usually learning how to read and handwrite Kana is the very first thing you do. Most people master them in 1-2 weeks and all you really need is a pencil and some paper.
