Need Advice

Guys I need some advice! I learned Hiragana and Katakana and can read them fairly well.

What should I do next?
I’m from an anime background so I can say, read and understand basic words like greetings and all but still willing to learn everything from zero!

How should I start my journey? Should I read books like Genki and JFZ Or should I first practice reading non kanji books. If yes can you please provide me the link to any non kanji book?
