1. This is great, and even better with the added context that ZSJ had declared his previous losses in the G1 didn’t actually count since they were by pinfall instead of submission… only to win by fucking count out. Amazing.

2. Fucken love the Windy man! Hopefully this year shall be the one where he gets that well deserved glorious G1 win!

4. ZSJ is another guy in New Japan that I would love to get more exposure in the US. Such an outstanding wrestler who excels at a submission style that most can’t replicate or make as entertaining as Zack.

5. I remember this match, that finish was so good

6. IIRC Zach had reversed the grenade in to the triangle we see at the start of the clip, which was cool stuff. I had started watching regularly with this G1. This match definitely gave me the wrong idea about Fale’s working ability and that ZSJ was a super over babyface.

7. More matches should end in count out. If done correctly it can be super entertaining to see. Sabrerism lives!

8. I was a lapsed fan circa 2007ish, who started watching wrestling again in 2017. Zack has been my favorite wrestler since coming back to it. He’s truly unique and believable and excellent at what he does. I didn’t think anyone could be a better technician than Bryan. But he’s done it.

10. Damn this match was so good!!! I haven’t thought about it in a long while, but it managed to make me like NJPW even more. Didn’t know that could be a thing, but here you go.

    I’m going to Forbidden Door 2 – really hoping ZSJ is on the card.
