Currently to plan my hikes I have been using YAMAP which is pretty good since the Japanese community is active there but my only caveat with it is that I cannot export the course data unless I export someone else’s activity data that they shared in YAMAP which I dont like since some people take detours and etc. I am wondering if there are other Japan mainly hiking apps that support exploring the course gpx data.
Alltrail kinda works in Japan but I have noticed its trail maps can be pretty inaccurate at least in the area that I live.

I’ve always used 山と高原. It’s fine for standard routes in major hiking areas and allows exporting of gpx files. There’s very little data for out of the way hills, though.
Edit: It’s also incredibly useful for route planning.
