Job for dependent visa holders

Hi! I’d like to work in Japan, but I’m a dependent visa holder and I don’t know restrictions for the job. I know that I can work only 28 hours per week, but I don’t know if there any restrictions for the salary per year? I tried to find how much can I earn per year, but I didn’t find it. Does anybody know something about it?

  1. No restrictions, but if your salary exceed 103万円, you will pay more 保険料

  2. Immigration may start frowning upon you if you get enough salary to no longer be dependent of another.

  3. They is no official stated amount. But if you’re a spouse on a dependent visa, the general guideline is ¥1.3 million per year. Because after ¥1.3 million you stop being category 3 insured (I.e dependent spouse).

In general sense, as a spouse, Being on a dependent visa means being financially dependent on the work visa holder sponsoring your dependent visa.

So if you stop being category 3 insured, expect potential teeth sucking come dependent visa renew
