What entertaintment YouTube channels would you suggest?

I am looking for more content to watch in Japanese. Aside from videos teaching in Japanese I watch Onomappu.

I know my question is broad and largely depends on my interests but right now I think a channel with general all-around content would suffice I guess.

  1. I watch sushi ramen riku lmao he does some stupid shit. Think mr beast but more diy and more immature

  2. [料理研究家リュウジのバズレシピ](https://www.youtube.com/c/%E3%83%AA%E3%83%A5%E3%82%A6%E3%82%B8%E3%81%AE%E3%83%90%E3%82%BA%E3%83%AC%E3%82%B7%E3%83%94) – Cooking channel, pretty easy cause he demonstrates what hes saying.

[クレイジーアフロ[RPG系YouTuber]](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVxO4rJ7xT2bUcsILyWYK-g/videos) – A guy who really likes RPGs does top 5-10 type lists or on very specific character tropes

[YUYUの日本語Podcast](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8dWfySP_cKDMFj6aFfQbFA/videos) – Podcast aimed at learners, but it feels less stilted than other learner geared stuff

[PDRさん](https://www.youtube.com/c/PDRKabushikigaisha/videos) – Dude who reacts to memes, news, etc. He’s half Japanese and speaks English so a lot of his videos are subbed too if you need to check your listening skills.

[サービス終了ゲームまとめ【しんちゃんカンパニー】](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_RNg8FqmS-5fZC-oghWd-A/videos) – Talks about gacha games, why they ended service, reviews and like.

  3. Loving all of these! Thanks for suggesting them. As an addon, can people suggest more podcasts? Particular Japanese Language or Gaming podcasts in JP on YouTube? I want something for a hour I can have on in the background.

  4. If you’re into hip-hop, check out 凱旋, 戦極, or アドレナリンチャネル! They host rap battles that’re entertaining to watch. Yo!晋平太だぜバトル解説 and ヒプリア are also good accompanying channels as they explain the lyrics of some of the videos.

  5. はじめしゃちょー and はじめしゃちょーの畑 are my daily watch channels

  6. I occasionally watch [NewsPicks](https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsPicksOriginals), which has a variety of guests on to discuss various societal issues, as well as lots of different business experts to discuss their work and life perspectives. It is definitely for upper intermediate and advanced learners, as it is aimed at native speakers.

  7. I’ll just drop these here, most of them are comedy and variety centric.
They are probably fairly advanced but they are my favorite channels:
YouTube] (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCANr15MC0s7bi4cxtDd1Gtg)

  8. if you like games i would recommend PECO, who plays a lot of nintendo games or if you like music i recommend ななもり/nanamori

  9. I’m not sure at what level you are rn, but I love Jarujaru Tower and would love for the western audience to get to know them

There’s another channel of a guy who imitates Snape’s voice in Japanese and plays Among Us with other Harry Potter voice imitators(?)

It’s hilarious. I’d recommend starting from these three

  10. You could jump down the vtuber rabbit hole. Plenty of channels to choose from. It’s mostly gaming, but there’s lots of other content like cooking, reading, asmr, drawing, etc.

  11. Sora the troll, mostly an English channel but he was a japanese teacher and tells stories in a skit kind of way about it. Give it a try but it’s not a serious channel

  12. My interests lie mostly in gaming, so skip to the end if that’s not your thing:

    **Gaming:**

[SANNINSHOW](https://www.youtube.com/c/sanninshow) – 3 guys that game and occasionally do chat videos. Sometimes it’ll just be one or two of them. Games range from competitive stuff like Apex and Valorant to chill single player games like Kirby.

[花江夏樹](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cTYYYLOHmw) – Natsuki Hanae’s channel. Usually involves other people playing games with him and generally being boisterous. Lot’s of party games and goofy stuff.

[渋谷ハル](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SiUG2A-ZpI) – Super good Apex player.

[心霊バスターズ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk4M1CEZhUREeDr-Buof_9Q/videos) – Does single player games, and does them in sequences without skipping around between games.

[2Bro Radio](https://www.youtube.com/user/norunine) – A lot of Apex and Dead by Daylight. Some singleplayer stuff like Dying Light. Also occasional podcasts.

Channels of Guilty Gear players – [Jiro](https://www.youtube.com/c/jirokakuchannel/videos), [Nage](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJTwPjElTtULMosGdilaewQ), [Yuu](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCML2NcPY8nYwVDo_B9L4riw), [Kazunoko](https://www.youtube.com/c/KazunokoChannel/videos), [RF](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY5g2Y4Jkk_an4staoAvW6g). RF also plays a lot of KOF, and Kazunoko plays tons of fighting games.

**Vtubers, there’s a bunch of good ones. Here’s a few that I particularly enjoy watching lately:**

[Pikamee](https://www.youtube.com/c/%E5%A4%A9%E9%87%8E%E3%83%94%E3%82%AB%E3%83%9F%E3%82%A3Pikamee) – She’s super goofy and generally just has positive vibes. She does almost 50/50 Japanese and English, which makes her stream nice when I don’t want to focus at all since there’s almost always context for whatever she’s talking about.

[Okayu](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvaTdHTWBGv3MKj3KVqJVCw) – Low, mellow voice. Mellow vibes all-around. Great chill out stream most of the time.

[Korone](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChAnqc_AY5_I3Px5dig3X1Q) – She’s a weirdo. Does little skits at the end of most stream that involve torturing a little MS Paint avatar of the listeners. She plays a lot of retro and off-beat games.

[Suisei,](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5CwaMl1eIgY8h02uZw7u8A) [Towa,](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1uv2Oq6kNxgATlCiez59hw) and [Aqua](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1opHUrw8rvnsadT-iGp7Cg) – These three have played a lot of Apex, including getting together to do a Vtuber tournament where they did well. Aqua’s particularly skilled at the game.

[Botan](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUKD-uaobj9jiqB-VXt71mA/videos) – Well known for laughing maniacally while playing Trials with the shopping cart and being good at a bunch of FPS games.

    **Not-gaming:**

[FermiLab](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3-1iYGHfR43q_b974vUNYg) – Narrated comics telling short stories. They’re cool.

[History Animation Channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjKCqMq8GZHJN47Xx3pUYyQ) – Exactly what it says on the tin.

[SushiRamen](https://www.youtube.com/c/SUSHIRAMEN-Riku1) – They/he builds wacky contraptions and generally goof around. There’s also a number of videos of Riku playing elaborate pranks on his family.

[きまぐれクック](https://www.youtube.com/c/%E3%81%8B%E3%81%AD%E3%81%93) – Cooking with lots of talking about what he’s doing. Focuses mostly on fish and seafood. A bunch of them also involve going out to a market and finding cool fish to cook.

**Almost no actual Japanese but still entertaining:**

[もりもり](https://www.youtube.com/c/%E3%82%82%E3%82%8A%E3%82%82%E3%82%8A) – Mostly meme videos syncing songs to videos of people dancing or doing dance-like stuff.

[からめる](https://www.youtube.com/c/%E3%81%8B%E3%82%89%E3%82%81%E3%82%8B) – Silly short animations that are basically distilled non-sequitur.

  13. Following question: Do y’all know any Japanese equivalent of breadtube? Am actually Japanese but I don’t really watch JP YT because usually they are horribly unpleasant aesthetically and politically…

  14. Virtual YouTubers from Nijisanji and Hololive. Content depends on the streamer and may range from video games, to singing, to movie watchalongs, to language teaching, and etc.

  15. オード是非 is my favourite. It’s short and has a bit of text at the beginning that you can pause and read through that sets context for the bit. Very user friendly.

  16. I recommend ことラボりょ if you like linguistics and stuff. He’s like a Japanese Vsauce but only focus on linguistics. His contents are a bit difficult but he talks slowly and clearly so if you don’t understand you can pause and look stuff up.

  17. I’m surprised no one mentioned Peeping Life. It is hilarious and the conversations are very realistic in speech and pace.
