I want to learn violin in Tokyo. The difficult part is I don’t know Japanese and most of the classes I found are in Japanese language. Does anyone have any recommendations for English classes or instructors?
It might be worth reaching out to instructors anyways, as I think a lot of musicians end up having to do things like study abroad and might grasp enough English (or if you’re even more lucky whatever your language is)
As an adult it might be trickier to get started. I’ve seen several teachers who outright say that they don’t take adult men students outside of introductions on account of the high creepazoid factor. Might need to ask around
