  2. Said this on Twitter already, but IMO the most likely meanings are:

    – This is confirmation that Shibata’s more traditional version of the Dojo is over, replaced by the westernized NJPW Academy.

    – Coughlin is leaving. I don’t think it’s likely, but since we don’t know his contract status with NJPW it’s always a possibility. They did just tape him vs Shibata tonight, maybe Tony went on a hiring spree.

    – It’s just a thing along the lines of where Coughlin fighting Shibata could be seen as his final graduation from the Dojo.

    It’s most likely *not* Shibata leaving. He just signed a new contract with NJPW in February, which allows him to work ROH. So there’s not really a reason for him to leave.

  5. Seeious question… why are we not hearing about new recruits into the LA Dojo? People have left, people have graduated. Maybe I’m just missing the boat, but I’m not seeing any hype about new guys coming in.

  7. There is no more LA Dojo. NJPW academy is the replacement and Shibata has nothing to do with it.
