What’s the best Learning Steps (in minutes) setting? The anki default is \[1m 10m\]. Is it good enough?

  1. I’d add more learning steps, like 22 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 22 days. That way if you press again during the 1st month the ease of your cards won’t go down.

Also 10m doesn’t seem very useful to me. It results in cards appearing again during your current session.

  2. I have my learning steps as `15m 1d 4d` for mined cards with a `7d` graduating interval and a `28d` easy interval. It lets me fail cards after recently learning them and not have the ease impacted, and I don’t need any add-ons to adjust ease. I experimented with longer learning steps but found that, *for me personally*, they didn’t make any noticeable difference beyond 7 days.

I used to have my learning steps as `1m 10m`. I found it was too short and I would constantly fail cards I had just graduated a few days before and tank their ease. I also needed extra add-ons to manage ease for the those cards, which I wanted to avoid.
