Hi guys!
My partner (29M) and I (28F) are trying to finalise our accomodation for our 10 day Japan trip in Mid- July. This will be my second time in Japan and his 3rd. We are quite jam packed travellers but also don’t want to feel like we are rushing around. We are also planning to get the JR pass. Any critique + advice would be great!

**Day 1 – Day 4 = Tokyo**
(1) Central Area/Akihabara, Shinjuku
(2) Asakusa
(3) Shabuya + Harajuku
(4) Disney World and Disney Sea
**Day 4 – Day 5 = Hakone**
(5) Hakone Ryokan
**Day 5 – Day 10 = Osaka**
(6) Dontonburi
(7) Hiroshima Day Trip
(8) Kyoto Day Trip
(9) Shopping day
(10) Head to Osaka (KIX) airport for departure
A couple other questions I have if anyone would be kind enough to answer 🙂
\- Is it possible to do Disney World and Disney Sea in 1 day? And in what order if so?
\- Is the JR pass really worth it compared with taking the bus intercity? In terms of time saved?
\- Did you personally prefer Universal or the Disney theme parks?
\- Any recommendations on where to stay for the best view of Mt Fuji in summer? 🙂
\- Does it get too hot for Onsen in Summer?
Thanks for reading all the way to the end!

Yeah that sounds like a lot. I would pic 2-3
I don’t think your itinerary is too packed: I visited six different cities in my first week in Japan. The question is less how many cites you visit and more about which ones you visit. For that reason, I would advise against doing Kyoto in a day. There’s so much to see and do there that you could easily spend a whole week there and still have things to do! Even attempting to fit in three or four big attractions could leave you feeling haggard.
Assuming that extending your stay in Japan isn’t an option, consider asking yourself why you want to visit Kyoto. Do you have a specific set of attractions in mind that are must-see for you, or is it more about a general vibe: wanting to visit somewhere historic, cultural, etc.?
If the latter, you may just want to visit Nara instead, and save Kyoto for your next trip. It’s smaller, close to Osaka and can comfortably be seen in a day. If the former, go with a very specific itinerary in mind, and plan ahead. It’s no good trying to fit in Kinkakuji, Arashiyama, Fushimi-Inari and Kiyomizudera all in the same day!
Perhaps make Dontonbori your shopping day? Shopping and food seems to be a big chunk of what you can do there besides arcades and stuff, but perhaps I’m ignorant.
I did Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya and Himeji over 3 weeks and wish i had more time. I guess it depends on what you want to do, but im planning a second trip to do the things i was not able to do.
You need two days to do both Disney parks but if you just want to quickly walk around both parks and not do anything in them, one day could be doable.
If you’ve been before and with a short trip, make sure to figure out what you don’t need to see to avoid wasting time.
