  1. 26th – harajuku/shibuya/yoyogi are all right next to each other, don’t see the need to detour to akihabara in the middle of the day

  2. I really enjoyed the charming “Romancecar” train ride to Hakone. Particularly if you book a seat in advance in the front car with the giant windows. Had a great view of Mt. Fuji.

  3. Some of your time windows look extremely tight. For example, you only allocate 1 hour to get from Skytree to Gundam Factory Yokohama. Google Maps shows this taking closer to 1.5 hours.

A 1 hour lunch time leaves no time to browse restaurants or wait in line to get in during peak hours.

  4. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t recall Owakudani having anywhere you can buy ‘lunch’. You can buy the black eggs and some snacks but nothing substantial. Either bring some lunch with you or an early lunch at Gora.

Trust me, the bus back to Odawara station will take at least 1 hour. And the busses only go every maybe 30 minutes. Allowing time for all that, you looking at around 1.5hrs for the bus back to Odawara station. I know because we had to wait around for 45 minutes because we were standing at the wrong bloody stop and the bus just went past! So had to wait another 30 minutes to catch the next one. Also, there are two bus line, if you catch the wrong one, you’ll end up somewhere else. Because of all this, be prepared to have dinner somewhere else. I’m not sure what time your hotel will take the last order.

If you can, try going to Shibuya sky instead of Tokyo sky tree. It’s a better experience in my opinion and you can book tickets in advance for a preferred time.

One last advice is be prepared for plans to change. We had to change plans last minute, because the day we were going to hakone (mainly to see Fuji) it was raining so had to change plans and go on a sunny day instead.

Remember to Just relax and have fun. If you find some place you like, spend a bit more time there than you originally planned. You’ll remember that experience more than just rushing to the next spot.

    Have fun!

  5. You’ve scheduled Tsukiji in the afternoon. I don’t know it’s open that late because it’s generally recommended to go in the morning. Maybe someone else can confirm
