I’m by no means pro, but they look better by time. What matters right now is they taste good! Looks yummy to me!
It is bad… but not too bad for your first time. Good job! Are you working at a sushi restaurant and the chefs gave you a quick tutorial?
Still better than Edo
I’d like some!
Dang that’s really good for being new! A little less rice and some tighter cuts and plating and you’re golden G!
some tips for next time:
ur cuts look a bit rough for some pieces. try to cut more side to side than up to down, otherwise it will squish the sushi
try to spread the rice more evenly with the rice spatula because some look like they have more than others
but otherwise keep it up!
Yum. I’d eat it!
Looks tasty and while not “perfect” it looks like you are gonna nail it next time.
If my first attempt looks anything like that I’ll be psyched af
Why aren’t there any peas in it?
I would definitely eat! If you’re really looking for advice? Rice / protein ratio is wrong & the plate looks sloppy – pay attention to detail – it requires no skill and makes all the difference.
I want it now
It’s your plating! Sheesh!!
Don’t be sorry. It’s commendable that you love ite enough to try.
I’ve worked at two different restaurants with sushi bars. Granted, I was not one of the chefs. I tried to make my own at home once with my friends (we all did, it was fun).
Mine looked about ten times worse than yours. Good job OP.
We still ate it though 😅
Better than I could do!
looks tasty.
What’s the filling/sauce?
Keep posting here, we all want to see progress
If it tastes great , then who cares
That looks great for a first attempt. My first attempt needed to be eaten with a spoon
Well I think that looks delicious, so it is by no means bad
Spreading the rice thinner than you think you need to is something we learned early on.
Wetting the blade and more of a sawing than up and down motion helps with smooth edges too.
And don’t be afraid to play with new flavorfishveggie combos and have fun!! We still use a lot of canned salmon and tuna when we can’t get high quality fish.
Looks delicious and you’ll learn a lot over time!
It looks like an early attempt, and it also looks delicious! Keep at it.
Mate that looks unreal I would scran that up so fast amazing job bro
Look great for a first try! Spread a little less rice on. Use the wet knife method and wipe your blade after every cut. Sharpen your knife to help slice through the seaweed a bit easier.
