Anyone here had success making golf friends?

I’ve found that it’s difficult to go out as a single on a lot of courses near Tokyo. On the courses that do allow it, the groups I get matched with are usually much older guys (I’m in my mid-30s), which is all well and good, but it would be great to find a regular group my age.

I realize there probably aren’t a ton of golfers on this sub-reddit, so likely to be roasted with downvotes, but on the off chance anyone has made friends through a club or would even want to get in 9 sometime (beers on me after), I would really appreciate a rec or response.
