Hi. I received my CoE last March 1. It was for a Student Visa (Japanese Language School). For personal reasons, I decided to not apply for the student visa for now. However, I really want to live/study/work in Japan in the future.
Do I still have a chance to reapply in the future given that I received a CoE now but I didn’t apply for a student visa?
Are my chances of getting approved again in the future lower, or still the same?
Anyone know someone who had the same situation as me, reapplied and got accepted again?

Yes. It doesn’t count against you.

They’re the same.
You’ll be ok. This happened to me twice and wasn’t an issue.
Did you get a document that extends your CoE? If you did then you shouldn’t have a problem applying for a visa. I just got mine after I got my CoE in January 2021 so if I could do it then surely you can too!
