Is it possible to set up the Yomichan extension on an Android phone without a computer?

I had read that by using the Kiwi browser you could set up Yomichan on an android phone but I also saw that a computer is necessary. My question is, is it possible to set up the Yomichan extension without using a computer? I just don’t have access to one at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  1. It’s been a minute since I’ve set it up, but iirc, setting up Yomichan on Android with Kiwibrowser follows the same process as it does on desktop. No computer needed.

  2. There is [Wakari-chan](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.furidamu.wakari_chan&gl=US) an android app that is open source and based on Yomichan and JMdict.

Haven’t used it much but I believe it doesn’t have an interface you just have to select a word and open it from the context menu that appears.

If you want something more with an interface you might want to have a look at [Kanji Study](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mindtwisted.kanjistudy) it has a lot of features, some of them are paid, but you can use it just for the dictionary for free.

Both of them have no ads, Wakari-chan has Anki integration and Kanji Study has it’s own flashcards implementation (and it would be nice but I’m not sure if it has Anki integration as well).
