Good. Students are literally embarrassed to have faces. I fully supported mask wearing throughout the pandemic but at this point we’re just enabling one of the most self-conscious societies in the developed world to quadruple down so hard that they’d sooner drop out of school than be seen to have a mouth.
At my school we have been told to only wear a mask when actually teaching a class. At other times around the school you don’t have to wear a mask so I don’t. It’s starting to catch on among students which is a good thing.
So ridiculously irresponsible. This is how you ensure
1) mass spreader events happen from Covid (or even influenza)
2) and that your students get repeated Covid infections just like in other countries.
No one has learned a goddamn thing in the past three years. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. [Not even the CDC has learned how to use masks.](https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2023/05/26/cdc-covid-outbreak/) 🤬
