Has anyone had their tonsil removed?

Has anyone had their tonsil removed in Japan? I’ve been to several hospital but they’re not taking mine serious. I’m having sore throat and my tonsil stinks which is causing me a bad breath. Please recommend me some good hospital near to Tokyo🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  1. A tonsillectomy is only performed if the condition is serious and **untreatable**. So maybe it is better to work on the treatment as you are unlikely to get a doctor to do surgery on demand.

(Also note both tonsils are removed so they are usually referred to in the plural in this respect. i.e. tonsils removed.)

If you are determined, you might be better off investigating private hospitals that do elective cosmetic surgery possibly outside Japan. They might be more sympathetic.

  2. I’ve had a swollen tonsil plus tonsil stones etc. for 1.5 years. What they told me is they can only remove my tonsils if I can’t eat or breath properly four times in a year. If you do some googling, there is a blog post by a guy who got his tonsils removed in Japan, including convincing a doctor to do it. Also think Texan in Tokyo had a video back in the day, assuming their videos are still up.
