Most Japanese learning apps are not good. However, there are a ton of web resources you can use on your iPad’s web browser. You can do JPDB reviews and even use JPDB decks to write kanji while your iPad is on the web browser showing you the kanji strokes.
I do this on my phone with JPDB but doing that on a blown up iPad screen would be great.
I dont know if iOS has the anki app but grab that if it does, otherwise I would choose your japanese apps sparingly and mostly browse japanese resources online using the web browser. Most japanese learning apps on iPad are very bland and useless, but there are some good ones out there probably, although I’ve never used any that are good.
It’s available on all platforms, not just iOS, but check out Satori Reader for some convenient reading practice and grammar review.
Check out Renshuu for sure.
