Hello! As I get into different Japanese books, I keep seeing the phrase だからこそ in sentences where I’m pretty sure it means because. I don’t understand what makes it different from から though (or ので).
I found a Nihongo Master page where it describes it as “for this reason”, but I just don’t understand the nuance of it. Is it more formal?

It’s more emphatic. It’s like “That’s exactly why” or “It’s precisely because…”
well note that だ is a copula (to-be verb). the こそ stuck onto から is an emphatic particle. you can’t start a sentence with just から so you need the だ to act as a stand-in to-be verb (referring to the previous statement) for から to attach to
