Words on Anki I just can’t memorize

I’ve recently gotten back into Anki after a Hiatus, and I’m starting to memorize a ton of words, my only issue are the words I can’t memorize. I some words just din’t stick (thankfully its only a few words). If you guys forget a word do you always put it back to the 10 minuet option or the months away option?

  1. just a few leeches?

let anki suspend them for now and you can try unsuspending them in like 6 months and they might stick properly at that point due to a lot of factors like, you have different info in your head, experience, and ability, or just a change of scene

  2. If it’s a compound, break down the kanji. Add few other words with same kanji reading.

If the reading doesn’t stick find similar sounding words and learn them in different contexts. Little differences between the two will reinforce each other.

Have more than one card with same word. Different contexts.

Alternatively, just forget about it. Some things will stick easier and once you know more words in general, these problematic words would start sounding more unique thus easier to remember.

    That’s just my method.

  3. Usually I go over and over it again and again, until it’s stuck fast. Write it, say it, with and without looking at the card. Or try making a deck with ONLY the words you’re struggling with.

  4. I try to seperate words I’m struggling with (recent thing to do this) and use them multiple times in sentences when writing. It’s own exercise that is not Anki.

  5. I am just use Anki a week ago, i think the anki’s word list quality maybe different, so choose a useful anki is necessary, and I think repeat by schedule may reconstruct the memory
