Beard Balm

Heavy bearded lads, where do you get your beard balm from in Japan? I buy from iHerb but I wonder if there is another affordable place within Japan to avoid waiting for shipping period

  1. I order mine from Beardbrand and have an associate in America forward it to me.

  2. I typically just buy sleeves of trader joes head to toe balm off amazon japan.

Baring that I make my own, relatively easy, plenty of online resources, I like to use a coconut oil/beeswax base.

  3. Not sure how much longer I’ll stick with the bearded life as the termperatures rise but…

I ordered some from Amazon.com (with some oil & a trimmer) and it shipped over quickly and cheaply. I went with ‘Honest Amish’ as it seems decent and cheap. I like the smell. But they had a good selection of other stuff.

Amazon also messed up and sent me the exact same package twice while only charging me once. BONUS! (second trimmer isn’t really very useful though…)

  4. They have that “bull dog” brand in many department stores. I think they mark up the price a bit though.

  5. There’s a brand/distributor called LUGANUD for “Isner Mile” on Amazon Japan but don’t know about the quality – and looking more closely, their delivery is about the same as iHerb.

If really in a fix, one of the Japanese domestic brands for what they call “hair wax” aka pomade *might* not be a bad substitute.

  6. Lush

It’s a British store for things like shampoo, conditioner etc that’s really popular with women here but its supposed to be for guys and girls, they have scented shaving cream and beard balm.

They usually have samples out in the open so try the store in Shinjuku or Shibuya.

  7. Lush and iherb. Turns out I don’t use either and they just sit in my cabinet. My wife ordered some sort of coconut oil based thing that’s seems nice too tho.
