Thread for vocabulary resources!

There is this book that I’ve been enjoying called “2000 Most Common Japanese Words in Context” by Lingo Mastery. It’s a rough vocabulary/phrase book that has probably 3000ish vocabulary points in it. I think this book is an excellent resource for memorizing stuff (mostly nouns).

I have anki, and I also use other flashcard decks. Though I think there should be a more advanced book of this type available. I wish they would produce another book, like a part 2.

The thing I really like about it is that each example sentence really contains grammar points and vocab that aren’t on the normal lists. Is there another more advanced book like this, full of words and example sentences? Like an intermediate/advanced dictionary for learners?

  1. * https://ejje.weblio.jp/ is a site where you type in a word and it gives you sentences which used that word

    * the shinkanzen masters books have vocab lists for N5-N1, and tend to give you sentences

    * the jpdb website has something like anki “decks” for many books
