  1. He did say that he learned a lot about building a character during his time in TNA/Impact. So I’m not surprised to hear this urban legend

  2. So okay basically learned from The Rock because Pope was just that same character with a different move set.

    Will I accept it if this somehow leads to Elijah Burke somehow getting a main event level feud in Nooj for the sheer insanity of it? Yes. Yes I will.

  4. It’s pretty obvious. But it never matters who came up with it first, it’s what you do with it.

  5. I’ll.leave this as urban legend because I stopped watching IMPACT years ago and haven’t flipped back but for a couple matches here and there.

  6. I always heard the urban legend as: Okada took The Rainmaker persona from his interactions and stories he heard about Adam Pacman Jones, who was in TNA around this time.

    Notably the incident where he threw his money into the air at a strip club and then made the strippers give him the money back.
