Doesnt cost a company anything other than some time to fill out forms
If they do it themselves, zero, but if they are clueless about the process or don’t want to take responsibility for submitting the documents they will need to hire an immigration lawyer and that typically costs 100,000 yen.
Renewals are easier as you can do everything yourself including submitting to immigration (you just need the company’s signature on one form) but if coming from abroad, the company needs to apply for your CoE on your behalf.
