My brother wants to fight me in Street Fighter 6, but I’m having issues purchasing it on Steam.
They won’t let me use my Canadian visa card or my Japanese American Express.
I do have Amazon Prime though, has anyone ever bought a Steam game via Amazon?

UPDATE:
Amazon worked! It’s the same price as directly buying on Steam and I was able to use any credit card I want. Only annoyance was that it took about an hour to confirm.

What’s the exact problem you are having with your cards? Should work fine
If your steam account is in Japan region, you can pickup steam prepaid cards at convenience stores. Then you don’t need to add a payment method. If your steam account is USA/some other country, it might be more difficult and explains why you can’t add a domestic card.
