Kanshudo Shows Incorrect Pitch Accents?

I just signed up for a subscription to kanshudo, and am disappointed to find that it is showing incorrect pitch accents. For example the word “machi” (meaning town) is listed as atamadaka: https://www.kanshudo.com/searchq?q=machi, when according to every other dictionary it is odaka (e.g. https://www.japandict.com/%E7%94%BA?lang=eng#entry-1603990).

Does anyone know if kanshudo is systematically flawed, or this just a one-off issue?

(To be clear, Kanshudo seems otherwise phenomenal; just trying to see how much I can trust it).

  1. > incorrect pitch accents

Since you used plural form, I assume you’ve found multiple other examples? In which case, the dictionary may be considered unreliable regarding pitch accent.

If you’re looking for another free pitch accent dictionary, there’s jpdb.io, which combines JMdict with pitch accent data.

  2. The kanshudo team is very receptive to feedback. Back when I was using it, whenever I found and reported errors they fixed quickly and expressed gratitude.
