Yaruki Switch; waiting for open positions

Hello,

I’m an ALT right now, but I had an interview with Yaruki Switch back in November (now it’s February), and they wrote this email after my interview.

“I’ve had the chance to discuss your interview and application with the rest of the Hiring Team, and we believe you showed potential and passion for teaching. However, due to a limited amount of suitable positions that align with your area and start date preferences at the moment, we are unfortunately unable to move forward with your application for the time being.

Having said that, we would love to reach out to you again if and when additional positions become available – therefore, please be sure to let us know if you’d be interested in being contacted again in the future.

Once again, we sincerely appreciate your interest and cooperation throughout the application process, and hope to be able to speak again.”

Is anyone else waiting on a response from Yaruki Switch? Do you know if and when they will reach back? I tried emailing a week ago asking if there were any open positions yet.

  1. I would just treat this as a soft rejection and move on. If they want to contact you, they will.

  2. I received it and replied to it, as well. I also interviewed a while back and haven’t heard from them since then. I have another job now, though, so everything worked out. Keep applying as much as you can. I remember sending 8-10 applications per day during this hiring season.
It’s a soft rejection, but at least you won’t burn any bridges by being polite. Good luck!!

  3. You’re better off as an ALT. The minuscule raise in pay will hardly be worth the added hours and responsibilities. Use all the free nights and weekends you have now to study Japanese and a skill.

  4. I did get a response asking for me to wait for the school’s response(I am supposed to do demo lessons). After that, the recruiter told me that the school I’m supposed to do my demo lessons hasn’t responded yet and to wait patiently. It’s been a week😢 Maybe they are swamped from all the recruiting process? I suggest to try and apply for a different company. :< *hugs*

  5. Please don’t work for Yaruki Switch. I worked at Kids Duo International and it’s safe to say they are child abusers, racists, and will never let you actually take one of your owed paid holidays.
