How to register on pairs.lv?

I’m trying to make an account on pairs.lv but always fail on the first step where I have to verify myself.
I uploaded my Zairyu card and after 10mins it said that my account is suspended. Lol?
Then another try with another e-mail address but this time with Health Insurance card. Again not accepted and account suspended.

It is ridiculous, they don’t even provide a proper explanation. I can’t even register.
Thinking about to do another attempt with the MyNumber Card.

Or are foreigners not allowed to register??

  1. Foreigners living in Japan should be allowed to enter. Did you get your account banned at any time or place, perhaps on a different app that may be owned by the same parent company?

  2. Foreigners are allowed to register of pairs.

You’re better off contacting their support.

  3. Did the guy at the ward office not say to never let anyone see your MyNumber card?

  4. You can register. Was there something that was mismatched in your application and the ID you provided? (Birthdate etc)

Another reason might be the language of your profile? Was your profile not including any Japanese? Maybe it’s also the reason if you wrote everything in English when you registered and there is something wrong with your ID it could look illegitimate.

Anyways you can send them a support request and ask about what the problem was.

  5. Before yo sign up, do you even know the price of this thing?

It’s like 4,500 yen for 1 month, and you also have to buy “likes” to send (they give you a few free ones but you run out quickly), the whole thing is very expensive.

Japanese apps are different, in that you can’t do anything unless you pay.

  6. Off-topic, but as a Latvian living here (one of less than 200 IIRC), the .lv confused me for a sec since that’s what our domains use back home.

  7. There’s something particularly brutal about being rejected from a dating website… Kick a man when he’s down, oof.
