is いっしょに(isshoni) used in casual conversation or is it considered outdated?

during my japenese learning tutorials, i came across the word いっしょに. First thing that came in my mind is that i have never heard of this word before in whatever little sources i had of listening to japenese conversations. That’s why i am skeptical if it is generally used in conversations or considered outdated and lame if you happen to use it.

  1. It’s a very common way to say *(to do something) together*

I’m wondering what resources you’re using to study if you haven’t run into this word yet.
