Needed extra documents when renewing residence card?

I’m going to try to be short. I tried using that horrible online residence card renewal system to renew my card. I actually managed to get through the first part without too many problems, but the immigration office sent me an email saying they need some tax documents.

I have the tax documents now, but I can’t find my application after logging in for some reason. I gave up on that, it’s impossible, and I’m pissed off. So, what happens if I just let the time limit expire? Will they delete my application when the time limit is up? Can I apply again after that and include the requested tax documents? Can I call them to ask them to delete my application now so I can start over? Has anyone been in this situation before?

Edit: I was able to call them and resolve the problem. Thanks for your advice.

  1. Let’s start with what do you mean by renewing your residence card. Do you mean renewing your visa (status of residence) or just the card (if you have PR)?

  2. How about just going in person the good old fashion way? That’ll immediately solve all of your problems. They’ll help you right then and there on the spot.
