My biggest concern is the Hakone-Kawaguchiko trip. Weather in June is very unpredictable. Should I just skip it? For Hakone, I’m fine with a little drizzle but for Kawaguchiko, I really want to be able to walk and stroll around the area.

Is there a reason you grouped these two together? They are on opposite ends of the city and will take you 1 hour + to get from one to the other.

  2. Hakone is really lovely in June. There are hydrangea growing along most of the Tozan line tracks and there is a special night time hydrangea viewing train.

June 24th and June 25th I believe there is an evening yukata festival in Himeji.

    Good luck!

  3. Why the Hakone Free Pass and not the Hakone Fuji Pass is you are going to Kawaguchiko?

Taking the train to Kansai is really easy. It might actually be a bit faster, so it depend if you can find cheap airplane ticket, still would be up to you if speed/convenience is worth the cost difference.
