Cleaning Outside Aircon Unit

I have found lots of posts on here about having the interior aircon unit cleaned but nothing about the outside one so thought I would just ask.

With energy prices rising again and again, I want our aircon to run as efficiently as possible. Researching online, there are a lot of posts (mostly from America) about cleaning the outside unit with the expanding cleaning foam.

I can’t find any of this stuff in Japan, has anybody come across I and can share a link or a name?

Or if anybody has a different method for cleaning these units, that would be great too.

Thanks!

  1. You can get the cleaning foam on amazon, it’s called [kuukirei](https://amzn.asia/d/i9sN8tr). But honestly, you can get the Aircon cleaned for pretty cheap if you use apps like kurashi no market. I think last time I got mine cleaned it was like 8000-1man? The guy I hired did a much better job than kukirei.

Take a good look at it. Unless it looks like the inside is covered in a thick layer of dust, you probably don’t have to do anything. If you want to make sure it runs, buy a cover so direct sunlight is blocked.
