Anyone got experience of Apartment-Japan?

I am currently residing in an apartment owned by my company, but I’m looking to hand in my notice, and want just a couple months of enjoying life here and then seeing my friends before I head back (I have a lot of savings to pay for the rent). My friend is also coming to stay in September for a holiday so I wanted to have a place to host her.

They say you don’t need a guarantor etc, it looks and sounds straight forward – just wondering if anyone has experience with them?

Cheers

  1. You can also just stay in your apartment for a couple months more. Your company needs to give you 6 months notice to move out.

  2. Get an Airbnb, might be expensive but is stress-free, most of the time.

  3. You will have to use a service like Sakura House as another user said, which at least will come with the benefit of pre-furnishing if you need that. Otherwise good luck because most apartments aren’t going to rent to you without you going to be there *at least* a year, and usually prefer at least two.
