A Japanese female passenger was removed from a passenger plane operated by Taiwan’s largest airline, China Airlines, after yelling at the flight attendants and causing a commotion.

Karen chan
that story was proven to be fake anti-japan propaganda from china
…. Why is caption in all caps bruh?
If only she was screaming speak English, all would have been fine.
I wish there were more people willing to take a stand on speaking Japanese in Japan.
Every now and then I talk to someone who seems eager to dust off their katakana repertoire and it’s just painful to hear it.
Have heard that the Japanese spoken was heavily accented, thus probably not an actual Japanese person
I literally saw this on the news in Taiwan!
Edit: they aired this on the local news this past Monday evening. There was even a simulated version of it for no reason (cause they also showed the video).
Strange seeing a Facebook post of text when we have YouTube. Japanese comments are filled with embarrassment, though there are misbehaving individuals everywhere that can hardly represent a whole country.

A Facebook photo counts as news on this sub now??
Regardless of that woman’s nationality/ethnicity, she needs serious therapy for anger management.
She was speaking English mostly, yelling at people to speak Japanese **in English**, which she and the staff could clearly communicate to each other in. And she is an English teacher supposedly, so noone understands why she wanted them to speak Japanese so hard.
And as other posters have mentioned, her Japanese did not sound native at all. Her English was also terribad, so anyones guess on background.
probably a Japan born korean
I’m sorry, I thought this was ‘Merica.
Her accent doesn’t sound Japanese to me at all. Might just be because she’s off her rocker, though.
Karen Yaeger
Are we sure it is not.. SPARTA!!!!?
Obatarian
I’m making her an honorary ‘Merican!
They probably haven’t heard of freedom of speech
Wow she manage to break a good international relationship alone.
China Airlines is….. from Taiwan?
Yeah okay.
Keiko: The Japanese version of a Karen.
It’s like the Japanese version of this’s MERICA!
Meanwhile, foreign-looking people who live here constantly have English shouted at us and shoved in our faces, and get standing ovations when it becomes apparent we know even the most basic of Japanese. I wish this woman’s attitude were the norm.
English country people grow accustomed to other language. Other languages exist in the world.
日本語でもおk
It really *does* happen everywhere, doesn’t it?
Reminds me of that American woman in China yelling at the bus driver about not speaking english
