This is so disappointing. Almost all hydrogen is created using fossil fuels either directly or indirectly. Hydrogen is only clean at end use, not in production. It is not an energy source, and certainly not a renewable energy. This will do nothing to reduce overall carbon emissions. It only makes sense is cases where electrification is unfeasible — such as long-haul trucks.
We need an actual strategy for renewable energy, not a strategy to make corporations rich.
