Tokyo to Osaka 17 days itnerary check

Hi, in late april next year we’ll be making a trip trough Japan. I’ve been researching it for quite some time but I would like some input into whether it’s manageable (specifically the roadtrip part).

So our current planning is as follows:

– Day 1:
– Arrive early in Tokyo
– Kokyo Castle
– Pokemon cafe
– Day 2:
– Lego Discovery center
– Akihabara
– Browse Ginza
– Day 3:
– Starbucks Reserve
– Adores arcade
– Yoyogipark
– MOCHA Cat cafe
– Day 4:
– KitKat chocolate factory
– Harajuku
– TBD
– Day 5:
– Retreive rental car
– Drive to Fuji
– Hakone Glass museum
– Drive turnpike road
– Hiryu Falls
– Day 6:
– Drive to Matsumoto
– Stop at Lake suwa
– Suwa Taisha Shimosha Harumiya
– Skyline museum
– Day 7:
– Matsumoto castle
– Drive to Unazuki
– Stop at Hakuba to ski (if still open)
– Day 8:
– Alpine route
– Day 9:
– Drive to Kanazawa
– Kenroku-en
– Old district
– Day 10:
– Drive to Nagahama
– Katsuyama dino park (optional)
– Hakusan White road
– Kokindenju no Sato Field Museum
– Monet’s Pond
– Day 11:
– Drive to Kyoto
– return rental car
– Kinkaku-ji
– Day 12:
– Kyoto Imperial Palace
– Nijo castle
– Old town
– Day 13:
– Parks
– Sake museum
– Day 14:
– Go to Osaka by train
– Osaka castle
– Shinsekai + Tennōji Zoo
– Day 15:
– Nintendo world
– Day 16:
– Go to Nara park
– Dotonbori
– Day 17:
– Early flight from Osaka airport

Specificly days 6 to 9 are a bit unknown. I wanted to visit the Snow Corridor from the Toyama side as that can be reserved in advance.

This year the Ski season stopped around on the 5th of may. And we would be visiting on the 1st of may. So with some luck we might be able to do that. Otherwise there would be plenty of other things to do nearby.

  1. Day 4 having Harajuku doesn’t make sense — should be in day 3 since everything else is in that general location.
