recommendations on online shopping in japan

hey hey! 🌸 i’m new to living in tokyo and i’ve been struggling to find good online shops for all my needs.. i usually end up browsing websites like amazon, mercari, ebay, etc. but i was wondering if any of you know some other cool websites for things like furniture, electronics, decor, beauty, skincare, vitamins, groceries, and international food items? 🛍️ for the furniture website; bonus if they have an option to ‘build’ the items as well. i already know some local shops around me, but i’d love to find some new online options! thanks so much! 🙏

  1. iHerb for vitamins, supplements, skin care, etc. They also sell international food items, but the prices are high nowadays.

As for electronics, you’re usually better off buying from U.S. Amazon and having it shipped to Japan. No warranty but around half the price in some cases, even after shipping and taxes.

  2. [Lowya](https://www.low-ya.com/) is my favorite for furniture, they send to be more stylish than other options. I feel like they probably have an option to build it too?

If domestic stuff is ok, Rakuten has a lot of those things you’re looking for too

  3. [Kakaku](https://kakaku.com/) is your portal to find everything from electronics to bicycles, insurance, internet providers, moving services, etc.

It’s an aggregator with reviews and more, so it will direct you to the best store to buy whatever you’re looking for.

  4. Rakuten, Amazon, Yodobashi.

Qoo10 if you want to use PayPal.

I dont recommend Bicccamera. Everything is more expensive there.

  5. @ cosme is my go to for cosmetics I can’t find in local pharmacies or Don Quixote. I believe Aeon and Ito-Yokado both have online grocery shopping (deliveries are usually like… 300-500 yen I think). Costco also has online shopping too.

  6. get a membership from yodobashi camera and enjoy shopping online and getting 10% points back.
